Description: The Apex International is centrally located in Edinburgh's old town, within walking distance of the Royal Mile and Lothian Road, and 5 minutes drive from Waverley train station. There is limited car parking available on site, and additional spaces close by at a multi-storey car park on Castle Terrace. All 169 bedrooms are luxurious with large comfortable beds, 42 widescreen LCD TVs, luxury toiletries, power showers, free wi-fi and local calls along with 24 hour room service. There are two dining venues to choose from; The award-winning Heights Restaurant serves up fresh, imaginative fine cuisine with the stunning backdrop of Edinburgh Castle, while Metro Bar offers laid-back dining in stylish, relaxing surroundings. Directions: From the Airport There are a number of options to arrive in Edinburgh from the Airport either by taxi, by Airport Link double decked bus to the city centre or by Airport Shuttle bus which will stop at the hotel. If driving follow the A8 and signs to the city centre. Do not turn off until you reach the west end of Princes Street with the Shops on your left and the castle on your right. Here you should make a right turn into Lothian Road. Once on Lothian Road make the 1st left turn into King Stable Road. Follow this road straight along and you will arrive in the Grassmarket where the Apex International will be on the right hand side of the road. From Waverley Station Waverley station sits below Princes Street on the opposite side of the castle from the Grassmarket. It is a 10 minute walk to the Hotel, however with the climb over a hill we would suggest catching a taxi from any of the taxi ranks within or around the station.By Car The simplest way to find the hotel is to head towards Princes Street, Edinburgh's main shopping street. Once at the west end of Princes Street near House of Fraser's Department store turn south into Lothian Road. . Once on Lothian Road make the 1st left turn into King Stable Road. Follow this road straight along and you will arrive in the Grassmarket where the Apex International will be on the right hand side of the road.
